I have a general psychotherapy practice, with specialties in Couples, Eating Disorders, Chemical Dependency, EMDR (a technique that accelerates the therapeutic process), and Adult Incest Survivors. I have been in practice since 1979. I have always worked well with diverse populations and their varied needs. My strength includes my belief in people and their ability to modify their attitude and behaviors, to improve their lives with the guidance/coaching that therapy can provide. In my opinion the therapy process begins with the first phone call. I believe in the value of face-to-face therapy. I utilize a team approach during the therapeutic process, where the treatment goals will be developed with Client participation. I have a direct approach style, and invite directness from others in return. This process provides positive practice opportunities by utilizing assertiveness and healthy communication skills.
