As a strengths-based therapist, I help families and individuals identify and use their strengths to work through the many challenges and stresses life brings. I have extensive experience in helping others with complicated grief and loss. I also work with adult survivors of childhood abuse and trauma. My training includes a specialization in working with families and couples. When working with children and adolescents, I like to maintain a strong connection with parents or guardians. In addition to training as a family therapist, I received training in evidence-based treatment for trauma and traumatic stress. I have experience helping clients who feel stress and burnout related to their work in helping professions. As an adjunct clinical instructor at Michigan State University, I have experience teaching both undergraduate and graduate students. I approach therapy with a warm, non-judgmental attitude and work in partnership with you to reach your goals. Therapy is most successful when a good "fit" exists between the client and the therapist.
