I use a narrative and client-centered approach with clients, as I believe every individual has immense value and a unique story that is worth being told. I create a safe and encouraging environment that allows individuals to feel comfortable engaging potentially difficult topics. Additionally, I incorporate ideas and exercises from both cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapies in order to create clear goals and track tangible progress throughout the counseling experience. I have a passion for working with couples and individuals who desire to discover and define their story as they pursue a life of significance. I specifically enjoy working with clients dealing with anxiety and have received additional training regarding the varying issues present in those struggling with anxiety. I am a resident mental health counselor and have worked in numerous counseling settings. I am working towards licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I received a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Ohio State University and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grace College.
