I see clients who struggle with a variety of issues related to severe anxiety. Persons who come to see me are willing to do the work that helps them reduce negative thinking and navigate stressful life situations, developing coping skills that help them manage overwhelming stress. People who wish to participate more fully and joyfully in life do well in counseling with me with the understanding that working on personal problems can bring added meaning to one's life through learning conflict resolution skills, techniques and strategies to relieve stress, overcome anxiety and depression and improve well-being to avoid emotional and physical depletion. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and licensed mental health counselor and pastoral counselor with 22 years of experience with couples, individuals and children (age 4 and up) I teach stress reduction using mindfulness meditation in workshop settings and counseling hour. Specialty is CBT and trauma reduction. Gottman Method of Marital Therapy; Mindfulness-Based-Stress-Reduction workshops; Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness; Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy; Thought Field Therapy and faith sensitive counseling;grief and loss counseling;goals of gaining greater independence, participate more fully and joyfully in life and address target issues related to health and wellness.
