I have a broad range of experience working with clients in a wide array of circumstances. I believe strongly in creating a lifestyle that sustains mental health and wellness, and building resiliency skills in the therapeutic relationship, that affords clients the opportunity to strengthen their interpersonal skills, leading them to a higher quality of life. Personal accountability is a critical factor in mental health and wellness. I feel the therapeutic relationship involves a professional collaboration that fosters and builds client's intrinsic motivation to increase personal autonomy in building a satisfying life. I respect the therapeutic alliance with my clients. I use an integrative approach that relies on mind, body and soul incorporating motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral strategies with an emphasis on person-centered strategies and mindfulness. Neuroscience continues to provide enlightenment to enhance knowledge of the brain in relation to behaviors and mental health and wellness. My undergrad is Liberal Arts, I chose this degree to enlighten myself and apply deep thinking and analysis to men/women/children and their adaptations to their worlds over the course of their personal history. Self perception drives much of how we lie our lives. Rational/irrational thinking plagues mankind.
