I was into the 35th year of my marriage, with four children having completed college, when I returned to school to complete a graduate degree in social work. I have 20+ years in my private practice and utilize my education and life experience in assisting clients with their various life struggles. I am dually licensed in mental health & substance abuse and find these qualifications very helpful in working with individuals, families and couples, primarily with adults. When children are involved, I prefer to work with the whole family. My licenses in mental health & substance abuse cover a wide variety of problems because nearly 85% of people presenting at community mental health centers have substance abuse in their history or that of their family. Helping clients accept themselves without shame is my speciality as I offer them hope in recovery.
