In my practice I work with individuals, couples, families, and small groups. Most of the people I see are between 13 and 75 years old; overcoming trauma, self-doubt, depression, anxiety, or loss. Many feel "different", marginalized, alone, misunderstood, or not "mainstream" enough. Some look fine, but feel out of place. Some are deaf. Some are physically challenged. Some are struggling caretakers. Some are straight, lesbian, gay, transgendered, or unsure. After 26 years, I still feel it is honored to be part of the growth and change people experience through straight forward counseling/therapy. No gimics. No tricks. My specialties include: Recovery from Trauma (abuse, accident, crime, illness etc.), Depression/Sadness, Anxiety/Fear, Grief/Loss. My training and experience include; Rational-Emotive, Cognitive-Behavioral, Expressive, Pet, and Brain Therapies. I like variety. I also coordinate care with medical and alternative medicine providers when appropriate. What makes my practice unique? Focusing on YOU. Whatever your experience, uniquness, or concern. You are more important than any technique, protocol, or diagnosis. Aiding you in developing insights and skills to ENJOY LIFE MORE is my goal. I utilize English, American Sign Language (ASL), and Signed English.
