My ideal client is an adolescent or adult with a mood disorder, who wants help in improving their lives. I treat adolescents that have self-destructive behaviors, drug and alcohol issues, social anxiety, depression, and loss/grief. I treat adults, couples and families with mood disorders, communication issues, loss/grief, transitions, and marital issues. I believe that the relationship between the therapist and the client is very important. I take most private insurance plans. I have over 20 years of experience working in behavioral health field. I have been a licensed professional counselor since 2002. I have an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor Certificate since 2011. I have advanced training in DBT and CBT. My unique talents include creating a safe and caring space to allow healing and improvement in each person's life I counsel. I feel I provide goal directed and strength based counseling with a CBT emphasis. I have experience in mental health and drug and alcohol issues.
