In my 20+ years of experience as a therapist, I have worked with a wide and very diverse array of clients, whose issues have ranged from mild and transient to severe and chronic. I opened my private practice roughly five years ago, having worked previously for various mental health agencies. I have a special interest in working with gay and lesbian clients, who may be having associated lifestyle or relationship issues. I also have a special interest in adults who were abused or neglected as children and who struggle with depression or chronic esteem problems as adults. In my therapeutic work, I am active and directive. I believe profoundly in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship, and that this is critical in order for change to be possible. I view my clients as partners in a mutual process of discovery, growth, and change.
