I have enjoyed working with and helping young people and families as a therapist in private practice and community mental health. I have also worked with and helped many adults and couples over the years. I work from a mixture of developmental and biological theoretical perspectives with a desire to help you identify and realize your goals and support you when you feel most challenged. Our first meeting will be a consultation to help you find what YOU are looking for. As a clinical social worker the WHOLE person is my focus. Our work begins where you are, not from the place of my own theoretical perspective. I believe people have control over how they process their experience, and once they understand problems and symptoms will be able to work towards resolving them. When we begin working together, whether as an individual or family unit, we will design a plan for treatment that keeps in mind the social systems that affect you. Additionally, our plan may include activity-based therapy--particularly when the client is also a youth.
