Solution Centered Counseling is committed to providing competent support for a variety of mental health issues. I have been a counselor for over 30 years and have been in private practice for seven years. My roots are as a school counselor. That experience has given me the opportunity to work with a wide range of issues, differing age groups (children and adults) and varied treatment modalities. My office is in my home. Clients have appreciated the comfortable setting, the privacy of no waiting room and the convenience of flexible scheduling options. My expertise lies in the areas of anxiety, relationships, parenting, and family issues. I also have experience helping athletes achieve peak performance. My methods have been shaped by my many years of working with families and young people. I believe counseling should be goal oriented and rooted in the present. Understanding the nature and history of a problem is an important first step. However, the emphasis in counseling should be movement away from the problem and toward a solution. The Solution Centered Counseling experience provides methods and practices to help clients grieve and grow.
