Wounds leave scars. The internal wounds can sometimes be the hardest to heal. A therapist who builds trust and relationship through validation, mindfulness, awareness, and honesty can help. Using an attachment based perspective, I will walk through your pain with you. Relationship is essential to any successful therapy experience, and I focus on building rapport, trust and understanding, not only between myself and my client, but their own understanding of themselves, what is happening, and why. Facing our own inner truth can be one of the most difficult and frightening experiences of our lives. It can also be the most rewarding. Utilizing strategies and different modalities that best suit each individual, I work with children/ adolescents with severe behavior issues including aggression and defiance, attachment issues (Reactive Attachment Disorder, foster care, adoption, childhood trauma), depression and anxiety. I am further trained to work with children and adults dealing with trauma, PTSD, anxiety disorders and other issues.
