I really love helping people become "unstuck" through learning psychological skills for dealing more effectively with their thoughts, feelings, memories, and effects of past experiences and taking action to get back into their life. Sometimes the stresses and strains of life can overwhelm our coping skills and we just need some help to get past the rough spots. I see chidren from the age of 6 and up, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I also offer psychological testing for ADHD, learning disabilities, IQ, and personality assessment. I use an approach called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy that is based on research and has been shown to be effective for depression, anxiety, stress, and many other problems. It incorporates a focus on living in the present moment and learning to relate in a healthy way to our internal experience.
