Finding a therapist who feels compatible is crucial in beginning the challenging and meaningful work of therapy. My aim is to assist you, your child or your family in finding and creating a safe place to begin that good work. It is not my goal to make you more of one thing, or less of another, but rather to foster discernment and healing in cooperation with your truest self individually, or with your best self as a parent or family member. Toward that end, I would seek to be a constructive witness, and a trusted companion. I work with adults and children in the specialty of treating trauma and attachment issues. This includes using EMDR, Interpersonal Neurobiology practices, and modalities which aim to cause integration of unresolved material to aid in the relief of distress and problematic patterns, as well as increase vitality and hope. I have advanced training in parenting and relationship issues from the Circle of Security and other models of intersubjectivity. My training has included pastoral counseling, depth psychology and expressive modalities. I am a versatile clinician, employing an assessment-based orientation that is individually tailored to the needs of my clients.
