I specialize in working with youth and families on issues of attachment and trauma, trauma-informed parenting, recovery from sexual abuse, court involvement, and family reunification. I work with both Trauma and Significant Life Events. Trauma is an event causing intense fear of the loss of your life or someone else's life and creates a sense of helplessness. Examples include physical and sexual assault, car accidents, natural disasters, childhood trauma and neglect. Major Life Events include situations such as: grief, loss of work, moving, divorce, health issues, deployment of a loved one, unhealthy relationships What this biography cannot capture is my incredible enthusiasm and passion for the counseling field. My main priority is being able to support someone in their time of uncertainty and distress.
