I combine an expertise in cognitive 'behavioral therapy with many years of experience working with health' related concerns (chronic pain, weight management and coping with cancer), as well as depression and anxiety. Before joining RICBT, I worked in the Division of Behavioral Medicine at The Miriam Hospital, and was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. I have served as VP and board member of The Center for Mindful Eating. I also enjoy working with mindfulness-based skills, spirituality and the beliefs people rely on to help manage life. I earned my undergraduate degree at the University of Connecticut, and his Masters and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Miami University in Ohio. I completed my Internship in Clinical Psychology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, followed by 2 years of postdoctoral training in the Division of Behavioral and Psychosocial Medicine.
