A Healing Journey Counseling and Consultation offers counseling for emotional distress and mental illness as well as providing support during times of transition and adjustment to new life circumstances. I have provided compassionate care since 1974 and professional mental healthcare since 1976. Clinical interventions are guided by spiritual principals and Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused brief therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioral therapy. As a veteran of the United States Air Force, I am honored to serve military veterans and their families. I am also a credentialed Christian minister and I serve pastors and other ministry leaders. Additionally, I provide life transitions counseling (aging, "empty-nest", divorce, etc.), marital/couples counseling, family counseling and pastoral counseling. My interventions are guided by compassion, integrity, persistence, and respect. Fees are competitive and times for sessions are flexible. Sunday is my Sabbath. Training and consultation activities are designed to provide a values-centered course of action that results in improved quality of life for those served.
