I enjoy working with adults and older adults on issues such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life-role changes, memory loss, and difficulties involved in being a caregiver for a spouse or family member. I also help people with health-related issues such as coping with acute or chronic medical illness, obesity, and increasing compliance with doctor's orders. I work to understand your needs and concerns, and tailor my clinical approach to you. When appropriate, I tend to use shorter-term therapy, and focus on your present-day concerns. My style is collaborative and empathetic. Clients generally describe me as warm and caring. Although I work with adults of all ages, I also specialize in Geropsychology. Geropsychology is the field of psychology that focuses on psychological, behavioral, social, and biological concerns that are pertinent to older adults.
