When things are especially stressful or overwhelming therapy can be a good resource. I am trained to assist as you make significant decisions or figure out how to proceed. Typically I help people with relationship or family matters, depression and anxiety, loss of a loved one, unexpected circumstances, and matters of personal growth or change. My specialty is helping partners deal with relationship issues. Couples come to me in order to improve communication, resolve conflicts, recover from an affair, revitalize their relationship, decide whether of not to stay together, adjust to a new marriage, improve intimacy, etc. My Ph.D. research focused on marital therapy. I practice in a private office overlooking a wooded ravine several hundred yards from Lake Michigan. It is a quiet natural setting in which to do therapy. I work independently and you will nearly always get in and out of sessions without seeing anyone else.
