A Directory of Mental Health Counselors and Therapists in the United States Over twelve thousand professionals with advanced degrees, licensed and professionally qualified.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in private practice. In 2011, I received a Master's degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from the College of New Rochelle. I am currently working towards becoming a Registered Art Therapist (ATR). Early in my career I facilitated groups and individual sessions in an inpatient psychiatric hospital for adults who have experience trauma and co-faciliated bereavement groups for children and adolescents. Since becoming a licensed counselor, I have worked as a Home and Community Treatment Clinician and a Clinical Director at a private school for children with developmental disabilities. In my clinical practice, I provide individual, family and group treatment for children and adolescents. My areas of expertise are working with people who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression and grief. No artistic skills are necessary to experience the benefits of Art Therapy. During sessions, I encourage clients to use spontaneity and playfulness to allow the art to guide treatment by becoming a form of self-expression and exploration.
