I am an MSW therapist recently graduated from Savannah State University. I will meet with individual adults, couples, and families. I am competent working with depression, anxiety, bereavement, trauma, ADHD, life & social skills training, and personality & mood disorders. I have come to realize that communication is born out of the desire to be understood. While the concept of communication is complex, real communication starts when we take the time to understand others. I utilize various treatments including classical cognitive/behavioral therapies, mindfulness/self-awareness, and solution-focused methods. Interventions are evidence-based and implemented utilizing a strengths-based, client-centered approach. I appreciate the uniqueness of each individual and approach therapy in similar fashion. I was ordained as a Christian minister in 1987 and have provided counseling services in various church settings over the years.
