My approach to therapy is committed, transparent and collaborative. I work with both couples and individuals who are feeling distressed, sad, confused, anxious, bored, empty, or not at their best. My methodology is primarily within a cognitive and mindfulness-based framework. I draw on the expertise and knowledge that you, the client, bring to the table. You are the expert on your life, challenges, and goals. I on the other hand am the expert on asking the right questions, and on helping you identify your challenges, strengthen your coping skills, and achieving your goals. I have been in private practice for 3 years, and specialize in working with people facing difficult life transitions, such as starting college, or a new job, moving, becoming a parent, losing a job, or when relationships end. We focus on establishing a meaning and direction, together with strengthening self esteem and resourcefulness. I engage in a direct, open, and interactive style of therapy using clients feedback to track progress and ensure that we are constantly on the right path. I am available for BC/BS and Medicaid insured, and also offer affordable self pay options.
