I am a psychotherapist who works with adults, adolescents, and children. I provide therapy for individuals, families and couples. I have been practicing social work for 20 years. I hold a Masters Degree and a Doctoral Degree in Social Work and I am licensed in the state of Maine as a clinical social worker. I work with individuals (adolescents and adults) struggling with acute trauma, chronic/painful memories of trauma, depression, anxiety, mood instability, attachment issues, adjustment issues, and attention/focus issues to name a few. I work with younger children (7-13 years old) with anxiety issues only. People come to "therapy" or "counseling" for many different reasons. Sometimes it is for help to get through a difficult period in one's life or to gain insight, skills, support for an emotional issue. Throughout the therapeutic process you will learn new ways of dealing with a specific issue.
