Working from a person-centered perspective, I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important components for change. I offer an empathetic space to explore your goals toward recovery. I use a variety of theoretical approaches, including all types of CBT, solution-focused, interpersonal, psychodynamic, and existential. Specializing in eating disorders, I begin the therapeutic relationship with the belief that full recovery is possible. I understand that the development of an eating disorder is complex, and I have experience addressing such co-existing issues as anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, family of origin issues, and personality disorders. I specialize in individual and group therapy with people diagnosed with anorexia, bulimia, ED-NOS, binge-eating disorder and co-occuring diagnoses. I enjoy working with all age groups, and have experience working with people who are going through difficult or positive life transitions, crises, and grief. In addition to my educational background and work experience, I have recovered from my own struggle with an eating disorder, so I know firsthand that full recovery is possible. I can help you learn positive coping skills, as well as address body image issues, identity and self-esteem issues.
