As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Registered Play Therapist (RPT), I am a skilled practitioner working with the most challenging of children, ages 3 - 11. Their mental health conditions vary from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Adjustment Disorders, and Grief and Loss. The approach is research supported Non-directive Play Therapy, which allows the child to take the lead in the session, while the therapist closely follows his or her play. The arduous process allows children to work through issues without fear. When he or she is ready to reconnect, the process is complete. After working with various types of populations the last 10 years, I realized that parents are in crisis when their children are troubled. After working under the supervision of a renowned Registered Play Therapy Supervisor, I have earned my own title as Registered Play Therapist (RPT) with my own practice. At Renewed Journey Counseling Services, LLC your child will enter a specialized play room solely dedicated to their treatment. They will lead the play while I follow and study their play.
