It is truly an honor to work collaboratively with clients in uncovering old beliefs and patterns of behavior AND discovering NEW truths, new directions, and new strengths. My style is genuine. I care. I roll-up my sleeves and work with you..listening, understanding, guiding, motivating, supporting. I start with a "genogram", an experiential technique, to illuminate yourself within your family system. Internal Family Systems and psychodynamic models guide us as we set goals and define effective strategies to address areas of concern. It is a dynamic, exciting process! I have been working with youth and families for 30 years: in the classroom (BA in Art Education), through home visits (Family and Marriage Counseling), and currently in private practice, working with individuals to address life's challenges. I draw on education and personal background in treating trauma, addictions and eating disorders, My experience as a mother of adult children, wife, divorced and widowed, also inform my practice.
