Often people reach out for therapy at a time in their lives when they are in transition and ready to make changes that will better themselves. Patterns of negative thinking and self-sabotaging behaviors can make you feel stuck and often can get in the way of living your best possible life. My goal is to help you understand the root of your anxiety, depression, substance abuse, self-image issues and/or trauma and to work through these problems so that you can become 'unstuck' and move forward in a more positive, self-freeing and fulfilling direction. I am licensed both in mental health and substance abuse and addictions counseling. My specialty is working those who are struggling with substance abuse issues or family members of those who are navigating through the recovery process. It takes courage to make the first call for therapy. My office provides a calm, confidential and safe environment. I generally will see you at the same time once or twice a week. Consistency and feeling heard is so important to the therapeutic process!
