I've spent many years working in the mental health field, and have been very blessed with having had the opportunity to work with a variety individuals, from various backgrounds and walks of life. What I've learned from this experience is that every client is unique, and that regardless of the symptoms they may be experiencing or problems they may be facing, each person's individual experience, struggles and perspective is uniquely their own. With this in mind, I believe strongly in the importance of individualized care, and the power of therapeutic partnership. I have extensive experience counseling individuals who are suffering from mood disorders, struggling with anxiety, trauma, or other debilitating mental health issues. I also enjoy working with people needing support and guidance with relationship issues, vocational problems, or those who are having difficulties coping with the daily stressors of life. I believe strongly in the power of human resilience. My philosophy is that the role of the therapist should always be to empower the client to take charge of his or her own life, while assisting them with developing skills for reducing their suffering, and restoring a sense of peace.
