Reverend Brooks Gibson, M.ED., began his service over 30 years ago with a bi-vocational education in Bible and Psychology. In 1980 he began working under Donald O. Clifton, Ph.D., at SRI, aka Gallop (Gallop Polls), known as the "Father of Strengths Based Psychology" and "Grandfather of Positive Psychology". He moved to Arizona in 1984, beginning his pastoral internship in counseling, followed by work in psychiatric hospitals, Psychodrama therapy, agencies in AZ's Medicaid or AHCCCS system, providing Intensive in-home therapy, out-patient services, and court ordered services. While still providing counseling for all ages, Rev. Gibson has served as a forensic expert to the court, in high conflict cases as a Custody Evaluator, Parenting Coordinator, Therapeutic Interventionist and visitation supervisor, He also serves as a private consultant and mediator in cases. Early on, Rev. Gibson found that 90 minute sessions were more productive for clients and still provides these sessions as a standard in his practice, while 50-50 minute sessions are also available. Many clients benefit from taking home CD's from the library on topics relevant to them.
