As a financial therapist, I integrate financial planning with mental health therapeutic services to help my clients understand and change their relationship with money. Few topics are as emotionally charged as money. Do you avoid thinking and talking about money?Or perhaps you feel money rules your life. You are not alone. With my experience and education in financial planning and mental health counseling, I can help you improve your financial wellness by exploring the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral aspects of your relationship with money. In addition to my focus on financial wellness, my research and clinical interests include life transitions, personal growth, family of origin issues, relationship and parenting skills training and conflict resolution, and career planning. Although financial therapy sessions may be billed like general counseling services to third-party payers, I may recommend more extensive financial planning services to you at some point during your treatment. The fees vary for these specialized services and will be explained to you prior to beginning such services.
