Casey Burkett

Thank you for the opportunity to accompany you on this part of your journey. I am excited for the chance to create a healing relationship with you. My specialties include working on trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, addictions, grief, and anger. Together we will explore what is holding you back in your life and work to reveal your true self. One of my favorite authors, Jack London, said, "I would rather be ashes than dust!" For me, life is meant to be lived, not watched from the sidelines. You have an impact, you matter. In a counseling relationship, I offer you my whole self, years of education and training, and a calm, warm presence. I trust deeply that you have the ability to heal and engage with life fullheartedly. In counseling, you set the pace and lead the way. The answers you find are your own. I also offer EMDR therapy, a well-researched and highly effective therapy for trauma recovery. EMDR is used to treat a wide range of issues including addiction, anxiety, grief, and more. My background includes treating substance use disorders with Ada County Drug Court, working with adult sexual abuse survivors, and providing services at Intermountain Hospital.
