About Greenleaf Greenleaf Center is a 71-bed behavioral health and substance abuse treatment program, which is located in South Georgia. With a focus on quality clinical programs and clinical service, Greenleaf offers inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and traditional outpatient programs for adolescents and adults. Our programs are designed with to make sure that each patient establishes a strong foundation that they are able to build a successful recovery on. Signs and Symptoms of Depression Depression will vary from person to person, however there are some common signs and symptoms that may be present. The more symptoms an individual has, the stronger they are, and the longer they have lasted, the more likely it is that they are struggling with depression. It is when these symptoms have become overwhelming and disabling, that it is time to seek help. Some symptoms of depression may include feelings of hopelessness and hopelessness as well as loss of interest in daily activities. Some individuals with depression may experience changes in appetite and weight changes. Sleeps changes, loss of energy, and unexplained aches and pains may also be present. Furthermore, it is not uncommon for someone to become angry or irritable, have strong feelings of worthlessness or quilt, and begin to engage in reckless behavior. Finally, depression is a major risk for suicide as the feelings of despair may cause an individual to believe that death is the only way to end the pain. Treatment Options at Greenleaf At Greenleaf we offer one hundred percent of ourselves in both effort and training to earn our title as leading experts in the field of mental health and chemical dependency treatment programs. We employ board-certified psychiatrists, therapists from a variety of licensed clinical disciplines, and trained nursing staff, all of whom are dedicated to providing valuable care and treatment. Our acute inpatient adolescent program is designed for those ages 12 to 17 who are struggling with a variety of mental health disorders and substance abuse problems. The acute adult program offers our adult patients a mental health unit, a substance abuse unit including detox, and a secured unit for diagnostic evaluation and treatment. Our outpatient treatment offers several options for adolescents 12 to 17 and adults 18 and older. All of our programs use a number of different treatment techniques including individual, group, and family therapy as well as medication management and recreational therapy. Our dedicated team of mental health professionals ensures that each patient receives the most effective treatment possible that will provide them with the tools necessary to achieve a brighter future.
