A Directory of Mental Health Counselors and Therapists in the United States Over twelve thousand professionals with advanced degrees, licensed and professionally qualified.
I provide a supportive environment for individuals to make positive change in their lives. Problems in relationships and at work, difficult family histories, grief and loss can result in bouts of depression or anxiety. I offer ongoing therapy and short-term consultation services to assess what is causing distress and discuss options that help to improve daily functioning. My practice connects women's health and mental health. Areas of interest include: diet coaching for weight loss, depression and anxiety in pregnancy and the postpartum period, menopause and fetal loss. I use a combination of intepersonal psychotherapy and cognitve behavioral therapy. For the past ten years, I have had extensive training and experience in treating perinatal mood disorders. I have recently been trained at the Beck Institute on using cognitive therapy for weight loss and diet coaching. I work predominantly with adult women seeking to make change in their lives. My professional training in social work and public health is from Columbia University and have been in practice since 1993. I have trained with national experts in the field of women's mental health, most recently from the Beck Institute in Philadelphia on using cognitive therapy for weight loss.
