I am an active therapist dedicated to seeing my clients flourish through their journey of self-discovery. As an individual, couple and family therapist, I work with my clients to minimize self-judgment, support them through the challenges of change, and facilitate the development of self-confidence and competence. With thirty years of practice, I have written, taught, and presented nationally on relationship issues. Informed by a collaborative perspective, my specialty is assisting people to become clearer regarding their unique desires and goals and to help them make adjustments so that they experience more personal integrity and joy. Many of my clients have remarked about my ability (sometimes through gentle nudging and humor) to allow them to feel supported in a way that creates an avenue for them to think about themselves differently and envision new possibilities. When helpful, I inform my clients of the latest findings in mental health research and neuroscience. As a further support for personal growth, I collaborate with my clients to develop out-of-office practices that allow for making optimal use of our work
