A Directory of Mental Health Counselors and Therapists in the United States Over twelve thousand professionals with advanced degrees, licensed and professionally qualified.
Individuals often feel stuck as they move into and through life transitions. I work with clients to accept the facts of the presenting situation, looking at their expectations and motivations, then we decide what might need to change. I offer ongoing education for life changes, an understanding of the stages of human growth and development, and how each cognitive process of thinking, feeling, intuition and sensation affects the individual. I work with clients in one of three ways: Brief, or solution-focused therapy for people accessing their EAP benefits. Short-term work is guided by psychological type. A psychoanalytic method, informed by Jungian thought, guides the long-term work, to discovery unconscious material. Dreams and expressive arts techniques illuminate these areas. Clients benefit when they gain different perspectives. For those interested, I encourage outside work be brought into the sessions, allowing deeper meaning to unfold. I am a member of the International Association of Expressive Arts Therapy and a practicing artist.
