My name is Don Carson and I thank you for viewing my professional profile. I have more than fifteen years experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor serving the mental health needs of clients age 5 through 100. I have 62 years of life experience. Therefore, I am a seasoned, mature psychotherapist who has helped hundreds of persons with differing, unique life experiences and needs to achieve more mentally healthy lives and relationships. My therapeutic approach is adaptive to you and your needs, and it is influenced by my trust in God. I will not impose my spiritual faith on you. I have substantial training and experience treating symptoms of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder spectrum, psychosis, posttraumatic stress, violence/aggression, childhood and adult abuse and neglect, relational difficulties in married couples and partners, alcohol and drug abuse, spiritual disturbances, and grief and loss. I am LGBTQ friendly. As indicated above, my therapeutic approach is influenced by my trust in God and by my corresponding recognition that you are a person of immeasurable worth and purpose, simply and powerfully because you were created out of pure love, regardless of the circumstances of your birth and life experiences.
