The most basic and simple things seem the hardest to find and to keep. Feeling free to express yourself, feeling safe and connected, experiencing your effort as meaningful and productive. My concern is to help you experience these things more fully in your personal and relational life. I do this by helping you become more aware of what is happening in your mind and heart that you might not always be attending to. The developing relationship between us becomes the window we can use to discover these unattended things & experiment with new ways of being and relating. I work in private practice, working with individual adults, adolescents and couples. I work well with people who have tried therapy before and been frustrated, people who have been very angry or very frightened for a very long time or people who are just feeling disconnected. I have trained in Pastoral Counseling and I am a graduate psychoanalyst. I try to create a space that is open to exploration of faith/belief, self understanding & relational experience.
