Welcome to my counseling practice! Background and Services: I obtained my Masters Degree in Counseling from University of Phoenix in 2002 and my Bachelor of Arts in Management from University of Phoenix in 1996. I am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy ("DBT") a cognitive behavioral therapy, and also in Ericksonian Clinical Hypnosis. These are well-established, researched, and respected therapies. I have provided counseling services to all ages of individuals with various problems and disorders. I have a comprehensive, outcome-based approach to my counseling and I enjoy my work and seeing the progress in my clients. I completed my practicum at The Salvation Army, completed my internship at Empact, a suicide prevention center in Tempe, and worked as a provider for Empact. I then worked for Value Options providing counseling services to the seriously mentally ill population in two Value Options clinics working with psychiatrists, nurses, case managers and clinical liaisons. I have a Master of Counseling Degree, I'm licensed by the State of Arizona as a professional counselor, a licensed independent substance abuse counselor, and I am certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors.
