My wife, Deany Laliotis, and I are co-directors of EMDR of Greater Washington and have trained many of the EMDR therapists listed on this website. We specialize in the treatment of traumatic stress and anxiety disorders as well as difficulties related to normal life cycle challenges. We each have been practicing EMDR since it's introduction about 20 years ago and have treated, consulted with, and supervised the treatment of thousands of individuals and couples. EMDR is a well-researched method of psychotherapy which utilizes the innate growth and healing mechanisms of the human brain. In addition to EMDR, we each have extensive training in both traditional and more contemporary therapy methods which we draw on in our clinical work. We accept a limited number of reduced-fee clients as part of our "Psychotherapy Training Project".
