Dr. Arango is a Developmental Psychologist, Certified Parent Coach, Certified Gottman Level II Therapist & Educator, and Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She has specialized training in helping couples using Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy and Gottman Couples Therapy. She has over 15 years of experience helping adolescents, adults, couples, and families dealing with conflict, addiction, and relationship issues. She has been on the faculty in the Department of Psychology at Florida International University for the past 12 years where she currently teaches and trains graduate students to become professional counselors. We specialize in providing consultation, therapy, parent education, coaching, and support for parents struggling with their own relationship, parenting issues, or the relationship they have with their kids. We also offer family, couple, and individual therapy for teens and adults. Our parent education, workshops, and therapy approaches are based on the scientifically proven methods of the Gottman Institute, Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy, and the work of Dan Siegel.
