I am a licensed psychologist with extensive training and experience in the treatment of adults, children and families. As I have worked with a diverse clientele in college counseling centers, community mental health centers, hospitals and school settings, I am well equipped to treat a variety of presenting concerns using a flexible approach that is matched to the needs and comfort level of my patients. My credentials include a doctoral degree from Rutgers University and two masters degrees in psychology from Columbia University. I also have specialized post doctoral training in the treatment of children, families, and couples. My treatment approach draws on dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive-behavioral techniques and family systems theory. As an intensively trained DBT therapist, my areas of specialty include Borderline Personality Disorder, anxiety disorders, depression, eating disorders, and trauma. Areas of clinical expertise also include advanced training in Gottman couples therapy techniques. I have lectured and published in several areas including romantic attachment, college student adjustment, parenting issues, and development across the lifespan. Psychological testing services are offered including the assessment of ADD, learning disabilities, and gifted evaluations. Additionally, I have extensive experience treating childhood anxiety disorders, behavioral problems, and adjustment difficulties.
