I accept adolescents and adults who need help with processing traumatic life experiences or are currently experiencing difficulty with current life stressors. My goal and focus in therapy is to foster each individual's intuitive and organic ability to keep moving along and take control of their lives through nurturing and teaching skills in cognition, behavior, and emotional regulation. I am currently in training to become a Somatic Experiencing Practicioner which focuses on how the body can learn to regulate the nervous system and promote healing of traumatic experiences. My therapeutic approach is to focus on unconditional positive regard for each person I have the privilege to work with. I work to foster a curiosity in each person about how their human experiences have effected their ability to have healthy relationships with themselves and others and how experiences have effected each individual somatically. I started my practice in February of 2014 after working for 10 years at a Community Mental Health Center as a crisis response therapist and Mental Health Professional. In my office I have created a non clinical home like atmosphere where clients can feel safe, comfortable, valued, and cared for.
