Life can get unmanageable. Reaching out for help isn't easy. Taking that first step or the thousandth step for the thousandth time can be hard. But healing and change is possible. I believe in people, in our capacity to help each other, and our ability to thrive and find joy in spite of obstacles. I specialize in trauma, depression, addiction, life-coaching and relationship obstacles knowing that healing is possible. Through emphatic listening, stress management, mindfulness techniques and building upon inner resilience, the journey towards healing becomes manageable. My practice offers insight-oriented psychotherapy, life and academic coaching, substance abuse counseling, and trauma-specific therapies for survivors of sexual violence, abuse and interpersonal violence. I have a strong theoretical foundation and education in physical health and psychotherapy as both a family nurse practitioner and a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Close to Stone Mountain. Sliding scale accepted. I specialize in psychotherapy. Specific to my education and experience I offer consulting for clients who want to start the process of safely reducing or eliminating medication. I do not prescribe medication.
