I have always enjoyed working with children, adolescents, and their families. As a licensed psychologist, I currently specialize in the comprehensive assessment of learning disabilities and common challenges associated with child traumatic stress and/or Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) resulting from child maltreatment and other trauma. I also assess for other common challenges within the pediatric population, including emotional and behavioral challenges (e.g., anxiety, depression, defiance) and ADHD. I am also able to provide individual and/or family psychotherapy for a variety of concerns, including social skills, emotional/behavioral challenges (e.g., ADHD, anxiety, depression), and childhood trauma. I enjoy working with families from diverse cultural backgrounds and circumstances. I value the importance of working with the family as a whole, no matter the presenting concern, as in my experience family support has been a salient factor in a more positive prognosis for the identified client/patient and subsequently his or her family. I have received extensive training in assessment and psychotherapy within a variety of settings. I also received specific training from a certified trainer and coach in conducting Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) through a joint initiative with the Massachusetts Child Trauma Center and Community Healthlink.
