I often work with individuals, couples, and families, helping them achieve their personal goals. Many issues addressed in therapy include managing and reducing Depression, Bi-polar and Mood disorders and their symptomology. Further common issues also include Anxiety disorders; OCD, Panic disorders, Phobias, and Generalized Anxiety. Identifying triggers and strategies to help the individual lessen symptomology and increase coping skills are essential. I also assist individuals coping with ADHD, self esteem issues, learning healthy life skills, utilizing effective problem solving skills, and developing relaxation skills. I also encounter various situational events such as supporting persons through marriage, divorce, loss or grief. I assist clients by guiding them through difficulties in their relationships, and helping them to obtain healthy, positive interpersonal relationships. I also assist families with implementing positive parenting skills, healthy and effective coping skills, and positive communication skills. Understanding feelings and managing emotions are also essential to healthy growth. I actively pursue seminars to enhance my knowledge in the latest treatments and techniques. Recent seminars include: Bi-Polar and Depression, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Habits of Healthy People, and Food, Mood and Cognition. My goal is to merge these updated techniques with previous knowledge and experience to help others more proficiently.
