I am a fully licensed clinical psychologist with specialized training in the modern behavior therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I completed my Ph.D. at the University of Nevada - Reno, where I was clinically trained by the developers of ACT and DBT. I currently work as a clinician and as a university professor and researcher; therefore, I am well-versed in empirical research regarding the effectiveness of existing treatment interventions. Furthermore, I continue to pursue training and research in new treatment interventions so that I can bring the highest level of quality care to my clients. I am the owner of Equanimity Partners, Inc., a private practice in Ann Arbor, MI. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance abuse, as well as other forms of addiction, chronic pain/stress, and weight loss/maintenance. I emphasize the utilization of time-limited, evidence-based treatments to assist clients in overcoming adversity. At Equanimity Partners, my goal is to help clients feel better as soon as possible by using the treatments that work. If you are struggling, contact me today at Equanimity Partners. Together we can work to address your difficulties and to help you achieve emotional balance in a safe and supportive environment.
