Dr. Husted has been working in the mental health field since 1995. She specializes in Traumatic Brain Injury, Neuropsychological Evaluations, Psychological Testing, substance abuse, PTSD and mental health disorders. She received her doctoral degree in 2008 in clinical psychology. She has hospital privileges at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland and private practice services at Oakland Psychiatric Association located in Pontiac, MI. Dr. Husted is the Program Director at Communicare Michigan, which is a semi-independent Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) rehabilitation program. She also conducts neuropsychological testing for this population. Dr. Husted is the Clinical Supervisor of Trillium Assisted Living & Rehabilitation located in Drummond Island, Michigan where she grew up. Dr. Husted's dissertation was based on PTSD factors in Veterans. This research has allowed her scope of practice to broaden in the feild of TBI and trauma issues related to anxiety, paranoia and depression.
