I received a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy and was trained in the psychodynamic perspective, but also have experience with cognitive and behavioral techniques (CBT). I feel creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment is key in developing a positive therapeutic relationship and that therapy works best when the therapist and client work collaboratively to determine how the client can use a his or her strengths to overcome difficulties. Disclaimer: As a Michigan Limited Licened Psychologist I am required to be supervised by a Michigan Licensed Psychologist. My supervisor is Claude Eggertsen, PhD LP I treat adolescents / adults in individual / family therapy, and have experience with treating adjustment problems, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, PTSD. I also am interested in providing LGBTQ individuals a safe place to find help. I also have experience with psychological testing for children, adolescents, and adults, testing for emotional problems, ADHD, learning disorders, and cognitive difficulties (such as memory). I have worked most recently in private practice, but also have experience with the inpatient psychiatric setting and with crime victims in the hospital setting.
