If you feel like you keep arriving at the same blind alley when you attempt to think your way out of challenges, old or new, I can help you try some different roads. My best work is in counseling people who are ready to change what hasn't been working, or who want help with managing changes you didn't want or didn't see coming. Emphasizing the strengths you already have, we can collaborate to set specific goals, bring your life into balance and move forward. My experience includes treating anxiety, panic, and depression and relationship issues. I have specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for children and teens, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Focusing and other approaches. In some cases, I provide assistance and support for recovery from substance abuse. I am interested in people's stories. My approach is results-oriented, energetic and intuitive. I like my clients and have found that the tools I share with them work for people who practice using them. As a consultant for the state, I also supervise and train other clinicians.
