Comprehensive Children's Outpatient Practice Mid-Atlantic Behavioral Health Children's Services is a diverse and professional licensed outpatient practice focused on children and adolescents and their behavioral health needs. Because behavioral health is a vital part of a child's overall health and development, it can impact multiple facets of family life. Our goal is to provide a full spectrum of outpatient behavioral health services for children even as young as 3. By providing individual and group therapy, psychological assessment, and medication management all under one roof, we are a complete resource for children and their families looking for answers in the complex world of behavioral health. PCIT Therapy- For children as young as 2 thru 7 Does your child exhibit challenging or disruptive behaviors that is causing your relationship with your child to be strained? If so, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) might be a solution. PCIT is a proven parent-child treatment program for parents who have children with behavioral problems (e.g., aggression, non-compliance, defiance, and temper tantrums). Originally developed by Dr. Sheila Eyberg, PCIT is a unique treatment program that focuses on promoting positive parent-child relationships and interactions, and teaching parents effective child management skills. PCIT is an evidence-based treatment (EBT) for young children with emotional and behavioral disorders that places emphasis on improving the quality of the parent-child relationship and changing parent-child interaction patterns. In our office at Concord Plaza we have multiple treatment roomsdedicated to PCIT. Mid-Atlantic Behavioral Health family of services Mid-Atlantic Behavioral Health is comprised of 3 different service companies that focus either on different age groups or aspects of behavioral health. Our Children's Services, based in our Wilmington office, is built around providing treatment for children and adolescents. Our Assessment Services, also located in our Wilmington office, provides psychological and neuropsychological testing for a wide variety of behavioral health issues. Our Outpatient Services is located in both our Wilmington and our Newark office and services patients of all ages for a wide variety of behavioral health issues.
